Things to do During a Haneda Airport Layover (Part 2)

Source : tourist-note.com

Welcome to the second part of our article about Haneda Airport! If you're looking for the first part, look here to see some of the things you can do if you have a short layover at Haneda Airport.

Haneda is a major 24-hour airport. Scheduling problems do happen, and sometimes there are long layovers between flights. But this is ok! If you are familiar with Tokyo, you know that Haneda Airport is only a 30-minute train ride from Odaiba. This tourist destination has a great view of the famous Rainbow Bridge and many shopping areas. If you have a few hours to spare, consider taking the trip!

But if you aren't familiar with Tokyo, there's no need to worry. There are plenty of things to do inside or close to the airport.

Haneda Airport Layover: Discovery Museum

Want to learn a little bit about Japanese art and history while you wait? Check out the Discovery Museum inside Haneda Airport. The museum is located on the 3rd floor of Terminal 2 and there is no admission fee.

JAL Factory Sky Museum Tour

Although this tour is in Japanese, it's great if you love planes! The JAL Factory Sky Museum (website via Google Translate) is in the maintenance area of Haneda Airport, so you'll have to take a train to Shin-Seibijo Station. Reservations can be made on the JAL home page.

Starry Cafe Planetarium

Located near the airport’s observation deck, the Starry Cafe Planetarium in Haneda is always worth a look, especially if you have time to take in a show. Their programs feature constellations and original music, and you can enjoy a meal under the stars. It's definitely a great place to relax while waiting for your next flight.
